EMMAS!!

Yes, that’s the name of our art education project that starts on February 1 ♥ ️

We know with us that the posts have been a bit sparse lately, but that does not mean that things haven´t been happening. We are very happy and proud to finally tell you all that Saxnäs will have its own creative workshop.

“Culture and art are for everyone and this time it is for the children and young people in our vast inland municipality!”

Emma Ricklund’s foundation has been granted SEK 2.2 million by @postkodstiftelsen and these funds will be used to establish an art pedagogical framework for children and young people in Vilhelmina municipality!

On Wednesday at 09 – 09:45 there will be an artist presentation by Roxanne Everett and Trapper Robbins, our current resident artists in Folkes Studio.
Both come from the USA so the presentation will be in English.
From 08:30 – 10:00 the same day there will also be waffles as usual.

On May 22, we will have a choir concert with live music at Saxnäs Church!

The picture shows part of the group participating. Even more dedicated people than those in the photo will take part in the concert itself.

This is one of the many activities we have worked on—and continue to work on—within the Inheritance Fund project KRAM.

Thank you for all your applications for our residency. We are so happy and grateful for all the response and your willingness to work and live at Ricklundgården.
Many of you have applied for the same months / periods so we are keeping the application open until April 13 for the following months;

Annexet – November, December
Skrivarstugan – February, March, October
