A few years after the main house was completed, the small cottage that we today call the Annex was built. It is located about 10 meters from Ricklundgården. According to old farming tradition it was constructed as a simple home, where Emma and Folke lived during summer.
The small, rustic, summer cottage has today been expanded and consists of a 25 square meter studio were large windows faces the lake Kultsjön. A cozy livingroom with broad floor boards and rustic furnitures still look the same as when Emma left it. It has a working fireplace for cold winter evenings in front of the fire. Next to the livingroom is a sleeping alcove with two beds. The kitchen consists today of a fridge / freezer, a small oven with two hobs and a working wood stove. There is a shower and toilet and access to a washing machine, TV and broadband.
Here, artists can apply for residency all year round and there is the opportunity for “Open House” or other activities to present your art. Such as cultural evenings, lectures and exhibitions.
The residence in the Annex studio is divided into periods of 14 days or 27 days. Were the wanted number of weeks is filled in by each artist in their application.
The cost is 3,000 SEK for 14 days or 5500 SEK for 27 days.
