A few years after the main house was completed, the small cottage that we today call the Annex was built. It is located about 10 meters from Ricklundgården. According to old farming tradition it was constructed as a simple home, where Emma and Folke lived during summer.
The small, rustic, summer cottage has today been expanded and consists of a 25 square meter studio were large windows faces the lake Kultsjön. A cozy livingroom with broad floor boards and rustic furnitures still look the same as when Emma left it. It has a working fireplace for cold winter evenings in front of the fire. Next to the livingroom is a sleeping alcove with two beds. The kitchen consists today of a fridge / freezer, a small oven with two plates. There is a shower and toilet and access to a shared washing machine in the basement of Folke’s studio (washing takes place in agreement with the resident artist in Folkes), TV and broadband.
There are hanging options on the walls inside the studio if you want to display your art. In the studio there is also an easel and a table with an office chair.
Here, artists can apply for residency all year round and there is the opportunity for “Open House” or other activities to present your art. Such as cultural evenings, lectures and exhibitions.
Duration of residencies in the Annex studio are divided into periods of 14 days or 27 days. Were the wanted number of weeks is filled in by each artist in their application.
