A few years after the residential building was completed, the small cottage that we today call the Annex was built. It was placed about 10 meters from Ricklundgården and, according to old farming tradition, it was constructed as a simple residence where Emma and Folke lived during the summers.
The small rustic summer cottage has today been expanded and now consists of two studios where large windows look out over Lake Kultsjön. We call one part the Annex studio and in the other part of the house we have the Skrivarstugan (Writer´s cabin).
For artists who are looking for a residency at Skrivarstugan, it is suitable with smaller works and who do not require durable and robust surfaces. We recommend that you intend to work with, for example, writing, poetry, drawing, research, embroidery, music making or the like.
In the printer’s cabin there is a sleeping alcove with a bunk bed. The kitchen consists of a fridge with a freezer compartment, and two hotplates. There is a shower and toilet and a private washing machine. In the studio there is an easel, a desk with two office chairs in front of the large window with a view of Kultsjön and the Marsfjälls massif and a sofa bed. Wi-Fi connection.
Here, artists can apply for residency all year round and there is an opportunity for an “Open House” or other activity to present their artistry. Such as cultural evenings, lectures and exhibitions.
The stays in the Skrivarstugan are divided into periods of 10 days.
Searchable months are: February, March, May, September, October and November.
– In Skrivarstugan, the stay starts on the 1st Friday of the month and lasts until the 2nd Sunday of the month.
The cost is SEK 3,000 per person for 10 days.
