Autumn at Ricklungården

27 August, 2020

Höstinternat

Now my friends, I have something to tell you.

First, from New Year Ricklundgården had a planned closure, then Covid -19 swept across the world and Sweden. Most things were then turned upside down.

Summer swept in and cleaned away a long winter. June was so nice and so warm and really, really wonderful. July was cooler, windy and barren. August you were and are changeable and partly cuddly and a bit grumpy.

Last Monday was the start of something new for Ricklundgården. Now it is finally time to try out our ideas, find our way and direct the efforts.

We started by welcoming Region Västerbotten’s development administration to their autumn boarding. And autumn, it certainly is. Saxnäs offered sun, wind, a little rain, varying color palettes and the most obvious; wonderful surroundings and historic environments.

The picture above show what it can look like when we arrange a dinner for our guests. Boat house coziness, wool rugs, lots of light and behind that door, you will find the inspiration for a lot of art created by known and unknown artists for decades …Because behind that door there are mountains, Kultsjön and a colorful sky.

Autumn is underway and so are we.

Artist presentation by Roxanne Everett and Trapper Robbins

On Wednesday at 09 – 09:45 there will be an artist presentation by Roxanne Everett and Trapper Robbins, our current resident artists in Folkes Studio.
Both come from the USA so the presentation will be in English.
From 08:30 – 10:00 the same day there will also be waffles as usual.

Warm welcome!

It has been practiced and refined.

On May 22, we will have a choir concert with live music at Saxnäs Church!

The picture shows part of the group participating. Even more dedicated people than those in the photo will take part in the concert itself.

This is one of the many activities we have worked on—and continue to work on—within the Inheritance Fund project KRAM.

Save the date: Friday, May 22 at 6:00 PM, because there will be music!
