Maybe you have wondered what EMMAS really is? For whom is this for? How will it work? And can you, as a general curiosity, just look in and visit?

EMMAS is the name of our art education workshop. EMMAS is also the name of our premises which is in Saxnäs, below the school and opposite the store.

•

EMMAS offers all primary school children in the ENTIRE VILHELMINA MUNICIPALITY a professional art pedagogical approach, ie. Art + pedagogy in harmony with other activities in the schools.

•

During our opening hours, anyone is welcome to visit. If our art teacher is not busy with school classes, she will be happy to show and help you who are curious to maybe try printing techniques or something else.

•

During the day and other times when we work, everyone is welcome to look in and no one is happier than us for spontaneous visits! There will be simpler “try-things”, some art books and other relevant reading here as well as information about what is happening in the world of art and creativity around Västerbotten.

•

EMMAS is simply a place for everyone who wants a little bit of art and creativity in their life!

•

At the time of writing, we are in the process of completing the final interior finish and we plan to inaugurate EMMAS in early June.

On Wednesday at 09 – 09:45 there will be an artist presentation by Roxanne Everett and Trapper Robbins, our current resident artists in Folkes Studio.
Both come from the USA so the presentation will be in English.
From 08:30 – 10:00 the same day there will also be waffles as usual.

On May 22, we will have a choir concert with live music at Saxnäs Church!

The picture shows part of the group participating. Even more dedicated people than those in the photo will take part in the concert itself.

This is one of the many activities we have worked on—and continue to work on—within the Inheritance Fund project KRAM.

Hello all artists!

Thank you for all your applications for our residency. We are so happy and grateful for all the response and your willingness to work and live at Ricklundgården.
Many of you have applied for the same months / periods so we are keeping the application open until April 13 for the following months;
